This video is a little bit awkward for me to talk about and definitely embarrassing. But, if talking about this helps you live a more fulfilled life and have better relationships, that it’s worth the embarrassment. I am not debating the pros & cons of adult movies here — I am discussing what happens when explicit movies affect someone’s life negatively like they did mine. It’s all about helping you be healthier, happier, and having better relationships.
A downside to watching porn is that it’s not reality, and it doesn’t paint an accurate representation of what a physical relationship looks like or should look like between two people. It can also create insecurities and feelings of guilt, which creates constant cycles of beating yourself up. Also, the brain changes with increased consumption with increased dopamine which is super addictive. You are worth breaking this bad habit, and everything about your real relationship will improve too.
Tips to eliminate the consumption of porn
- Identify your triggers.
- Make the access as difficult as possible — blocking over 8 million different adult sites, the Blocker X community and support for over 100K members sets them apart from other blocking apps. It also is not easy to uninstall with an accountability partner to help.
- Do something in place of the time you were spending doing the bad habit.
Surprising things that happened to me when I quit
- I felt better about myself — my confidence went through the roof. I didn’t realize how much of my self-esteem was being affected by watching it.
- I felt accomplished — when I quit, I felt like I was accomplishing something and changing a bad behavior (it IS a big deal for some of us).
-
I became more motivated — I felt great and was working out more. My productivity skyrocketed.
- I found more women attractive — you find beauty in places that you never saw before. You appreciate beauty more.
- My relationship improved — I became a better man, husband, and partner. My drive has also improved, and my relationship’s intimacy levels improved as well.
- I started appreciating everything about the act more — I felt like I was 18 years old again.
