I own over 100 pairs of shoes, but I only wear three. Back in 1985, Air Jordan was officially launched. I saw those and thought they were the greatest things I’ve ever seen. I saved my money and got a pair of those shoes. That changed the trajectory of my life and career forever. I became obsessed with shoes from that point on, which brings me to the point of this video.
I have wasted so much money on shoes that I have never worn. There are only three styles of shoes that I wear on a regular basis, and these three solve every style problem or situation that comes up. Workout & exercise shoes did not make the list because these are not stylish, but you need them for working out. So, the shoes I’m talking about today are stylish and needed for specific events like weddings, job interviews, parties, or casually kicking it.
The Must-Have Three
Minimal leather sneakers. It is the most versatile shoe; you can dress down or dress up. They’re clean and minimal, and you cannot go wrong with them. They are way cooler than boat shoes and come in a variety of variations. I personally love the gum sole.
Hybrid shoe. This can be dressed up or down and works with literally every outfit. There are a few different loafers, but you need to make sure that you have the right profile. It shouldn’t be too fat, and the toe box should be nice and rounded. You can choose from black or brown, but brown is more versatile. The double monk strap is my favorite. You can elevate your style by wearing these. Cap-toe lace-ups work with dress jeans, and they work incredibly well with a suit. This shoe type adds style, texture, and dimension to any outfit.
Boots. Rugged/casual, Chelsea, and Chuckka boots are amazing options. These boots are versatile nowadays, and if you opt for suede, you’re adding richness to your outfit. Don’t worry about messing up the suede because when that gets a bit rough, it looks a bit more aged, which equates to sexy.
