Today, I want to show you my 225-calorie breakfast. In the old days, I made egg whites and added avocado, oatmeal, chocolate protein, and all that. I’d sit down and enjoy a nice hot breakfast. I don’t have time now, so I want something quick and easy to fill me up, shred body fat, and pack on lean muscle.
So here’s what I’m doing every morning. It’s super healthy, packed with vitamin D, and will keep my colon healthy and stomach flat.
Power-pack your morning
You’ll need protein such as the vanilla Quest that I use. It mixes quickly and doesn’t have a pungent taste. I also use orange juice that’s low in sugar, almond milk, chia seeds, ice, and psyllium husks. You’ll also need a blender, which I love my Ninja smoothie bowl (found on Amazon for about $100).
I fill the mixing container halfway with ice and about half with almond milk. I add about a half cup of orange juice, one scoop of the Quest protein, which has about 24 to 25 g of protein, two drops of vitamin D, one tablespoon of chia seeds, and one tablespoon of psyllium husks. In the video, I go over the specific benefits of each. Now blend.
I drink this every day for my colon health. You need the fiber, and the shake also provides protein, vitamin D, antioxidants, fatty acids, and crunch. It will keep you regular, help regulate blood sugar, maintain your abs, and build muscle—and the best part is that it’s delicious!
You could use chocolate protein and omit that orange juice. You can also add cocoa powder while omitting the orange juice. It’s an incredible breakfast that you can play around with to power pack your morning.
