I just want to offer my perspective on this scary situation and tell you how I am choosing to deal with the Coronavirus (COVID-19).
This whole Cornoavirus thing is weird… and scary. I wasn’t going to talk about it, but the more that it comes out and the more people are affected, I want to discuss how to handle this time. I have only been scared like this twice. Once was 9/11 where I felt completely out of control. I was rocked to the core — and so was the US. I affected me greatly, and it changed how I saw the world, people, and society. And now this — this virus is another moment in time that is going to change us. I have washed my hands more than I have in my entire life. I am not a prepper or conspiracy theorist — but the more that this goes on, this COVID-19 is not good. We need to take care of ourselves and other people.
I have adjusted my lifestyle —
I have stopped going to Starbucks to work. I get my coffee to-go and work from my office.
I stopped going to the gym, but I am fortunate that I have a home gym. If you don’t have a home gym, get creative and do home workouts, exercise outside, do body weight exercises, and more. Gyms are a cesspool of funkiness.
I am also being clean as possible. Friday sushi night is now takeout. I am washing my hands and cleaning out my sinuses.
I have decided to kick this virus’s ass —
I choose not to be a victim. I am taking control by adjusting my lifestyle, but if I end up contracting it, I am going to kick its MF ass! Don’t fall into the victim mindset. Being scared is understandable but don’t live in fear. Don’t be dumb but don’t let it win. Life will get back to normal, but take care of yourself in the meantime. Exercise! Take care of yourself. Life is going to be on-hold and will be a little different, but take control of things you can control.
This video makes me feel better, and I hope it does the same for you. You are not alone. This will pass. Crisis brings a society together — when we deal with big things like this, little things don’t matter anymore. This virus has been a wake-up call — we are going to be more protected, and we will take care of each other.
Until it gets back to normal, be good to yourself. Grooming and being sexy doesn’t stop!
