Wahl Styler 19-Piece Complete Haircutting Kit
Hair cuts are expensive so pushing a cut can save money. This tutorial by Aaron Marino of alpha m. focuses on how to fade and blend the sides and back of your hair. He’s been letting the top of his hair grow for the last few weeks. The sides and back are getting shaggy looking. During this tutorial, he’s not touching the top of his hair.
Disclaimer: attempt this at your own risk. Alpha’s been doing this for years, and it takes practice.
Alpha’s using his hair clippers, three attachments (1/2 inch, 3/8 inch, 1/4 inch), comb, mirror, and a pair of scissors. Here’s how to do it:
- The first step is to dampen your hair. Towel dry
- Find your part and segment both sides
- With the longest guard, go straight all the way around
- Switch to 3/8 inch, stopping an inch below the 1st pass
- Use shortest guard to blend
- Use your clipper without the attachment to clean up around your ear and the back of your neck
