One aspect that separates boys from men is their bedroom. To help elevate your bedroom aesthetic, I want to review easy ways to increase its coolness factor.
These ideas don’t require a lot of work or time, and they also don’t cost a lot of money. You can strategically take these simple steps to make your bedroom cooler.
- Diffusers. These are a great way to make your bedroom extra sexy. Operate it remotely to control the intensity and duration. Fill up the container with your choice of oil and then hide it behind a chair.
- Side chair. This is a great bedroom addition, adding interest and texture to your room. You can put a throw blanket over the top, too. You can sit and chill, read, or relax with a coffee.
- Side table. Add a cool lamp to elevate the aesthetic of your space. It’s great to set a glass of water or your stuff. You could also put a candle on it.
- Candles. They had a bit of fragrance without being too overpowering.
- Television. The television can be mounted on the wall and treated more like art. This is a better option than sitting it on your dresser.
- Upgraded bed. Invest in a proper bed with a headboard and a base that lifts it off the floor. Spend money on bedding, ensuring the quality thread count is higher.
- Accent pillows. These add depth and texture along with dimension and playfulness to your bed.
- Fresh mattress. You need to switch out your mattress every few years. I recommend a Helix, which I’ve talked about before. Mine is the Helix Midnight Luxe, the best mattress I’ve ever had. Take advantage of the Helix Spring Savings Event with 20% off sitewide.
- Chandelier. This is one of my favorite ways to set your bedroom apart, and there are many incredible masculine light fixtures. Lighting makes a huge difference.
- Framed art. Do not hang posters on your wall. You don’t have to buy expensive art, but fine pieces that resonate with you and coordinate with the flow and aesthetic of your bedroom.
- Books. I’m a big fan of books because they make you look smarter even if you don’t read.
- A full-length mirror is a great way to check out what you’re wearing. It doesn’t necessarily have to be hung on the wall; it can be propped up.
- Plants. Foliage adds lushness and life to your bedroom, making it more inviting.
- Area rug. Don’t place it against the wall. Pull it about 2 to 3 ft from the wall and lay it underneath the bed so you have a place to walk. Rugs add texture and richness, tying everything together.
- Nice furniture. I like having a chest of drawers, which makes the room feel more mature. Furniture helps you organize your things. A box, like a watch box, gives you a place to put your keys, wallet, and watch and prevents you from having a pile of crap on your dresser and nightstand. You’ll have a place to put things away.
Cool and sexy bathroom
- Soft white bath mat. I love standing on a cushy white bath mat. You can get them super cheap on Amazon or Target.
- Plants. Your bathroom should be inviting, not just a place to drop a deuce or take a shower.
- Artwork. Hanging art is a great idea.
- Towels. Plain, basic white towels are perfect.
- Upgraded hardware. Whether it’s the towel holder or the handle on your toilet or faucet, switching them out to a bit higher-end, like matte black or bronze, is a great way to bring a new feel and vibe to your bathroom.
- Rolled hand towels. Have these available next to the sink. It’s both functional and visual. It’s welcoming, and so you’re not using the same tell for your hands and face as you used on your butt crack.
