Do you wear makeup? In this video men’s style, grooming, fitness and lifestyle expert, Aaron Marino of IAmAlphaM, AaronMarino, Pete & Pedro , and Fashion Anchor is triggering some folks today! Video #7 that Alpha published was about men’s makeup. He took it down because he felt like an ignorant asshole and felt embarrassed about himself. Recently, he’s been getting a lot of questions surrounding men’s makeup – so he’s going to readdress this topic.
Makeup versus Cosmetics
The makeup that Alpha’s talking about is for regular men like you and includes bronzers, concealers, and light foundations. The terminology ‘makeup’ is typically associated with women; therefore, men have hesitation with using ‘makeup’. Cosmetics is a male friendlier term. Note that men’s cosmetics is one of the fastest segments of cosmetic industry. Men are turning to cosmetics for dark circles, blemishes, and irregularities.
Does Alpha Use Makeup?
Alpha doesn’t use cosmetics, but he does use Tiege Hanley skincare and the PMD. The PMD is similar the micro-dermabrasion from the dermatologist used to help with skin irregularities. In the comfort of your own home, you can resurface your face. The PMD is used once to twice a week and is a serious tool. You start with a starter tip and increase to higher intensities. Why Men Wear Cosmetics | Should You?
Men chose to wear makeup to feel better because they’re not happy with their face or skin. Alpha says that if it makes you feel better about yourself, you should do it. It doesn’t matter what anyone else says. Alpha wore makeup on Shark Tank – and he looked incredible! He looked flawless. There’s a reason that women wear makeup – it makes them more beautiful. Men can do the same thing.
Alpha occasionally gets a zit. He has eye bags but remedies with hydration & nutrition. He also uses the PMD for irregularities. However, he personally doesn’t want to add makeup to his routine. If you want to start using it, find tutorials on YouTube to make it look natural. If you experiment and use the wrong colors, you can tell. Natural is the key. If wearing men’s cosmetics makes you feel more confident, do it! It’s all about confidence – if there’s something you can do, Alpha says do it!
