- Get up early and own your day. Don’t waste time sleeping in, lying in your bed, or scrolling. Plan your day while everyone is still drooling on their pillow. Audit your friends and assess the top five people you spend the most time with. Make sure you spend time with people who challenge you, uplift you, and help you grow.
- Hit the gym. It’s therapy, destroys anxiety, and makes you feel better about yourself. It will help you to evolve mentally, emotionally, and physically. By working out and taking care of your physical well-being, you show respect for yourself, and others will respect you as well. - Eat like you respect yourself. Food is fuel, so don’t put trash food into your body. - Don’t numb yourself with alcohol, weed, p^rn, binge-watching TV shows, and more. It may feel good in the moment, but they are dopamine deadweight, preventing you from doing deep work and staying focused. You need to be sharp and motivated instead.
- Learn to say ‘no’ to yourself and other people. Don’t be a people pleaser and say yes to everything. The perpetual state of saying yes will get you stuck and prevent you from moving forward. You need to establish boundaries for yourself and others. People respect those who set boundaries for themselves, and are drawn to individuals who do so because it’s unusual in today’s world. It’s about delayed gratification, which can affect your future trajectory.
- Build something for yourself. Build something for yourself that provides meaning, financial rewards, and motivation. Leave a lasting legacy that outlives you. Building something for yourself will ultimately benefit you in the long term and help you feel more fulfilled. Every man needs a North Star that they can reach and strive for.
