15 Things Men Should CUT OUT of Their Lives in 2025

January 1, 2025
Welcome to 2025! I want to start by letting you know that I think you’re amazing and that you have an incredible amount of potential. I hope you finally see this and act on what you want to do.

I see greatness in you, but some of you are making mistakes or have aspects in your life that are preventing you from realizing your goals. So here are some suggestions to cut out if you want to be successful and make 2025 the best year yet.

Cut these out of your life

  1. Toxic people. Cut those out of your life who don’t deserve you. Sometimes, they’re hard to identify because they’re shady and shifters, acting like they love you one minute and then turning around and talking trash about you. They can stab you in the back even though they act like they love you.
  2. Blaming yourself. Don’t beat yourself up over things from the past. Whatever happened in the past, it’s time to let it go.
  3. Grudges. People can do you dirty, and sometimes, we are collateral damage in other people’s lives. Don’t harbor anger or resentment; they will bog you down and prevent you from moving forward.
  4. Excuses. Stop justifying inaction or why you didn’t accomplish something.
  5. Thinking you’ll be saved. Nobody owes you anything, and you have to take action if you want to be truly successful.
  6. Comparing yourself to others. Comparison only makes you feel bad about yourself. Only compare yourself to the man that you were yesterday.
  7. Toxic consumption. Cut out one or two of these things, and you’ll feel much better: junk food, weed, nicotine, excessive drinking, and excessive social media.
  8. Crappy sleep. You need to get good sleep to do amazing things. You can’t be tired and sluggish. Make getting 7 to 8 hours of solid slumber every night a priority.
  9. Negative self-talk. This type of talk will only cause you to second-guess yourself and procrastinate.
  10. Procrastinating. Procrastination is the devil. We trick ourselves into thinking we can do it later, turning into weeks, months, or more. Take action. Think about where you would be if you started when you first thought about it. Don’t let more time go by.
  11. Unrealistic expectations. Do not overcommit. Pick a few things and commit yourself. Is it your body, job, career, mental health, or relationship? Pick a couple and focus every ounce of your energy on doing those. If you’re over-committed, you may have ‘shiny object syndrome,’ where you’re chasing too many and never doing any of them well.
  12. Not taking care of yourself. Stop making excuses for why you’re not exercising or in better shape. If your body fat is over 18%, you have a problem, and it’s time to fix it. Fitness gets harder as you age, so you must make good choices and better habits as soon as possible. Make your health a priority because it’s your most valuable asset.
  13. Thinking money will make you happy. Money allows us to solve problems more easily. However, we will always have issues, and buying stuff won’t create real or long-term happiness. No amount of stuff or material possessions can fix unhappiness. You have to figure out what’s going to make you happy.
  14. Fear. Fear is invisible and can wreak havoc on your life. Nobody sees it other than you, but if you feel it, it’s real and can prevent you from doing incredible things. Fear of embarrassment, having to tell your parents or loved ones, and fear that it doesn’t work out will diminish if you take action. Fear is inevitable, and you can’t succeed without that one piece. You may have to mess up to learn to move forward because it’s part of the process.
  15. That people are thinking about you. Realize that people aren’t thinking of you the way you feel that they are, and the world does not revolve around you. Stop worrying about what others think of you and take steps to make things happen.
